    MY BIO:

Mikhael Gene Binder has 15 plus years of experience in the music industry.

Binder was born and raised in Orange County, California where he discovered guitar at the age of seven.

By 14, he was already producing his first record (for LA punk band Downfall).

He toured as a bassist with The Chasing Furies (Sparrow Records) at 19.

Binder has since worked on hundreds of records with artists ranging from Grammy nominated artists like Gungor, Katie Herzig and Rachael Lampa to social media and YouTube sensations Tyler Ward, Lindsey Stirling and Alex G.

Binder has trained with Grammy and Emmy winning engineers and has recently traveled to Studio LA Fabrique in the south of France to study mixing with audio guru, multi Grammy winning Engineer/Producer Manny Marroquin.

Binder is currently Producer, Mixing Engineer and Mastering Engineer for both Tyler Ward Studios and his own MGB Music.

Binder has also been giving music lesson for the last 15 years.

He plays guitar, bass, piano, dobro, banjo, ukulele, drums and percussion.

For Binder, producing and teaching is the art of revealing an artist's unique sound.

"I try to have a transparency in my work so each individual artist will be revealed.

So the production and mixing show who they really are."

My son has had the privilege of working with Mike since he was 7 years old and he is now 14.

Coby loves his lessons with Mike because Mike really understands how to motivate and inspire him, and this has given him a true appreciation for working hard and loving music".

    -Joanna (Boulder, CO)

"I started taking guitar lessons from Mike about seven months ago and have learned an incredible amount in such a short time.

    " - Phillip (Boulder, CO)

"My daughter takes lessons from Mike and absolutely loves it.

She loves the fact that she walks out of her lesson having learned a new song each and every week.

Mike is patient and teaches her the way she wants to learn - by learning the music she likes.

    Highly recommend." - Deborah (Lafayette.

"Michael gave guitar and bass lessons to both of my sons.

On top of being an amazing musician who understands every aspect of the business, Michael has an incredible ability to connect with students and teach them at the level they are at while challenging them to be their best.

5 stars + -Ken (Louisville, CO)

"Mike strikes just the right balance with my son.

He is laid back, fun, and engaging, but still serious and motivating enough in his teaching that my son is making great progress and feels very accomplished".

    -Emily (Boulder, CO)

"It is a joy to watch our son's musical ability and enthusiasm flourish under Mike's skilled attention to Jon's interest and talent." -Lynne (Erie, CO)
